Graduation is boring
That’s the premise of this project. I’m allowed to decorate my hat for it, though, so I decided to see what I could make of that. I ordered 3/4" velcro (black and white) and cut it into squares.
That made for a pretty good chess board. Unfortunately standard pieces are too large, so I 3D printed my own. I put the other side of the velcro on the bottom of each piece and assembled a chess set out of them.
It was a huge success. Instead of saying “congratulations” or other generic boring things, lots of people commented on my hat. I even got to play a game of chess!
